Pete Aguilar Biography 

Pete Aguilar is a Democratic member of the U.S. House, representing the 31st Congressional District of California. Aguilar won election in 2014. He defeated Paul Chabot (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014. Aguilar also ran in 2012 but was defeated in the blanket primary.

Aguilar first entered public service in 2001 as Deputy Director and then Interim Director for the Inland Empire Regional Office of the Governor. He was appointed to the Redlands City Council in 2006 and won election the next year. Aguilar currently serves as Mayor of Redlands.
